Singaporeans after the high of GE 2011, the feel good mood of NDP had given another clear signal of the displeasure of the state of running of Singapore by the PAP.
Dr Tony Tan despite the endorsement by numerous Trade Unions (I suspected only the balls carrying union leaders' own endorsements) and clan associations, only managed to win the PE by a mere 7269 votes. No need to send in the Army even if Dr Tony Tan lost to Dr Tan Cheng Bock because both were former PAP associates. LKY can sleep soundly tonight because his pet idea was not scuttled by a fluke result.
State control of the media helped Dr Tony Tan to cover up his sons' special NS treatment especially Patrick Tan's 12 Years disruptions from NS because they did not even mention it. It also help alot of you are their former chairman.
Looking at 2 sides of a coin, almost 70% of voters did not support Dr Tony Tan or 70% of voters still supported PAP linked candidates, remaining 30% supported non PAP linked candidates. There are still die-hard supporters to somebody that had created policies help stumbled Singaporeans and yet their eyes are still not opened, all thanks to state controlled media.

Actually, we shouldn’t have a President at all, since all are rejected by at least 2/3 of eligible voters! All of them are roundly rejected by most of the electorate!!
We are soooo f*cked, Singapore.
Based on the first-past-the post system, TT's 35.2% winning margin clearly suggest that he is at best a PAP puppet President and not the Peoples' President.

Today Yacoob Ibrahim the ex environment minister now MICA minister said 70% supported PAP linked candidates. So who says PE candidates are not politically linked? If Presidential is a yes man, then there is good life for the PM. After they must get a yes man with $4m annual pay because it's LKY's pet idea.
