Yung Kuang & Tao Ching Estate (Jurong GRC)

I was with a friend at Taman Jurong Estate and the estate was similar to those found in Boon Lay estate and as well as some parts in the western part of Singapore.

These estates are those who are supposed to be undergoing en bloc from Jul 2004 and Mar 2006 by the HDB. However, there is a great similarity with the fate of the Boon Lay Estate that I had written about in Oct 2009.

In the Boon Lay Article I wrote, the supposing en bloc flats were not demolished but were refurbished and now rented to foreigners and some Singaporeans who are not too poor to get HDB rental apartments but too poor to get a resales or new flats.

Boon Lay Blk-216-220 Part 2

(This owner had this kitchen nicely done at Boon Lay but was told of en bloc by HDB, money spent wasted and strangers had been using them since. Did PAP MP help them?)

For Taman Jurong, its already 5 years since the latest en bloc announcement at Taman Jurong and I strongly believe that after the GE (If Mr Tharman and his new Jurong GRC team managed to win the GE or walked over) the Estates at Taman Jurong will be converted to rental estates for foreigners and managed by a private firm.

Flats are supposing to be build for Singaporeans and these will be converted into foreign dwellings and yet felt helpless to do anything. This coming GE if I am a Jurong GRC resident, my vote is not for the Red lightning and Blue Circle.
