Of course, upgrading are the jobs of every rightful and lawful governments in this world, but to use this to entice or "force" voters to vote away their Rights as citizens is not rights. This is how PAP kept on taking away our democratic rights and real representations in Parliament. During every Singapore Parliament sittings, these PAP Ministers and MPs bulldozed and supported PAP's policies at the expenses of Singaporeans and increasing their Pocket monies. There are no representations of the true voices of the average Singaporeans.

My responsible role as a citizen is to tell my friends about our democratic rights being taken away by the unfair GRC systems and PAP's Pork Barrel Politics.

If Finance Minister Mr Thaman is to lose his seat during this coming Election, the fret not because he will have to be full time job as the leader of the International Monetary Fund's policy committee.

The winning majority political party will have to choose a winning MP to be the Finance Minister. As easy as that.

Another Blogger had written about Pork Barrel Politics in Singapore:

  1. what's the use when singaporeans continue to give support to such tactics?

  2. The PAP is very intelligent. It very well knows that Singaporeans are immensely incentive motivated and it thus gives them what they want - just before elections. It's time people started to have high ideals and stop being so materialistic and shallow.

  3. GE2011 is going to be different! The PAP and the Opposition Parties and the Citizens knows it! We can feel it in our bones!
All the uninspiring tricks and tactics used by the PAP is not going to work in this 21 century Singapore! It's so stale and making Singaporeans cheap! The PAP should "grow up"! No more ideas? Then make way for the oppositions!

  4. You think so? I will wager that PAP will win 86 seats and the opposition 1 seat i.e. the Hougang seat. They will lose even the Potong Pasir seat if Chiam contest a GRC and abandon his stronghold. Why?
Because Singaporeans are fools, pigs, idiots who cannot see beyond their next pay cheque which at this moment is coming to their mailboxes via Growth & Share bonus, rebates, etc..
I'm sorry to call Singaporeans such names even though I am one myself. But if the name calling wake them up to consider their future and not to be taken in by this pork barrels politics, than I have done my job!

  5. I agree with you Andrew... 1 seat for opposition that's all. All the ballsy people happen to live in Hougang. The rest of the Singaporeans are cowards. Even though they may want the opposition, they are too scare to vote for them... Cannot la, my son in NS, my nephew working for PA... Eat shit la!

  6. Well the PAP's regime will not come to an end so soon. However, we need to give opposition leaders a chance to show their worth. Lee Kuan Yew was given a chance when he was a youth. Over the years, PAP leaders have developed new generation leaders that are arrogant, complacent and/or "Yes Man". This has to stop! In the words of Low Thia Khiang, "When the driver falls asleep, someone has to slap the driver to keep them awake!" It is time that Singaporeans "Think out of the box" and support the need for an alternative voice in Parliament!
