Singapore Election Department Bias

The failed bid by a GRC team from the SDA led by Ng Teck Siong to contest in Tanjong Pagar GRC during Nomination Day on 27 April 2011 due to paper work is a big Shame to Singapore. What sort of image Singapore want to show to the world that our politics are a sham?

If you are queuing in a bank at the 11th hour near their closing time at 4:30pm and when you reached the counter at 4:35pm and the bank officer told you that you should come again tomorrow because they official closing time is 4:30pm. What will be the reaction of the customer?

Hell will break loose because the customers are already in the bank queuing before the security officer had closed the door.

Same analogy to the failure of the SDA team to be nominated. According to The Onlinecitizen, the team had been stopped by reporters outside the Nomination Station and had wasted time talking to them.

Of course, these are sigh of un-preparedness by the SDA team to prepare for nomination and for the election process. I felt sorry and yet being angry with the Election Department for throwing out the Nomination by TECHNICALITY!

In The Onlinecitizen, a few person had posted uncle yap's video link explaining what happened and if what uncle yap said are un-true, then the Election Department should sue uncle yap for defamation. After watching the video, according to uncle yap, all the members were all in the hall with the election officer including the nomination forms.....
