No need to pay for usage of void deck for Funerals at Tanjong Pagar Town Council

I was recently at a funeral at Queenstown area and the relative told me that the Tanjong Pagar Town Council did not charge the family of the deceased fees for the usage of the void deck for funeral.

I read with interest at The Online Citizen and the TemasekReview on Workers' Party Mr Low Thia Khiang's explaination that he used his own money to send "Funeral Blankets" to residents in his ward after PAP Hypocrite Mr Eric Low "blew whistle" to the MSM. So this is a typical PAP hypocrisy at its ugliest, fighting for curry favour even at Opposition Party ward funeral matter. If I am the residents affected, I will welcome the "good will" given by the PAP town council. But standardise this across all Town Councils and stop accussing the Opposition of misusing Town Council fund.

Can Tanjong Pagar Town Council care to explain if my accusations of FREE USAGE of void decks for Funerals is true???

Isn't it votes buying and currying favouring for its MPs?

PAP MP's Latest Fear Mongering

Mr Shanmugam, the Law Minister and PAP MP polishing Dr Neo saying she is this great and that great and well liked by her people, obviously dismissing opposition MPs. However, we must not forget that it was the PAP who lost billions in Temasek and millions in public money in Lehman brothers toxic investment and the YOG.

Mr Shanmugam also defended the need to set the minimum sum for people above 55 years.

"There are many places that people can lose several thousands in a single day or hour and if all their money is withdrawn, they will not have the means to support themselves in the next few decades of their life."

The many places Shanmugan mentioned and one of them is called Casino right? Our 2 IRs, the Resorts World and Marina Bay Sands which were approved by PM Lee, son of MM Lee.

Stop giving excuses because Singapore cannot afford to pay all these above 55 years old in a go because of reasons you know best.

Lets see how many above 55 years will support Dr Neo this election.

Haze and the Politics between Singapore and Indonesia

Since 2006 major Haze, the air quality of Singapore was quite good, until recently for past few days. (I do not remember any major Haze since then) As I was typing this blog, I was coughing like hell and was in a bad shape.

In today paper, the I quote Assoc Professor Tay of the Singapore Institute of International Affairs saying: Associate Professor Tay noted that the return of the haze was "evidence that Indonesia may have trouble fulfilling its promises if we give them money to keep their forests". So how much money was given to Indonesia to keep their forest or really how much ended up in the pocket of the Indonesian officials? Can we really buy clean air with money?

In the 1997 Asian Financial Crises Dr Chee Soon Juan of SDP questioned the PAP government why Singapore so readily promised to give Indonesia S$5 billion loan. The PAP government then backed out when they told us the Indonesians did not need it then.

That is why we need a strong opposition to check on the ruling PAP government to that such deals will be questioned and held accountable, after all these are the people's money.

Today seem to be the worst with the PSI hitting >100 points. I was wondering how much is the economic cost caused by the Indonesian Haze on Singapore and Malaysia?

Haze again?

Today around 3pm onwards, there were smell of burning and the sky was filled with haze. I am wondering if there was any fire within or the Indonesian Forest fire is rekindered after absent of a few years.

Dr Teo Ho Pin's Blog

Sometime in July, I stumbled onto Dr Teo Ho Pin's blog and posted some of his birthday celebration pictures organised by his "jolly men". Recently I noticed that his adminstrator (PAP MPs very busy one, no time for blog) had changed his layout and seem reacting to remarks and comments on Dr Teo by me. Dr Teo's Blog in Jan 2010

Nelson Mandela says "I'm no saint"

In an AFP article on Ex South African President Nelson Mendela who was jailed for 27 Years for his fight against the white-minority apartheid South African government, he was awarded the Nobel Peace Prize and subsequently elected South Africa's first Black President and paved way for a more democratic South Africa.

In the article, he was quoted saying, "One issue that deeply worried me in prison was the false image I unwittingly projected to the outside world; of being regarded as a saint"

During the year that Nelson Mandela was released the world's longest serving "prisoner of conscience", Chia Thye Poh was released from ISD and sent to Sentosa for "holiday" and movement was restricted to Sentosa.

IMO, if Nelson Mendela is a Singaporean, he will never become president as our $3million standard for Presidential candidate already disqualified Nelson Mandela.

I wondered if the late President Ong had really pissed off MM Lee that he ordered that all future PAP endorsed President must clear this special hurdle before becoming a candidate.

Kim Il Sung of North Korea - Grandson poised to take over

I was checking on the history of deceased North Korean Leader, the Great Leader Kim Il Sung and I stumbled on the reactions of the North Koreans in YouTube upon the death of the Great Leader. It was almost instant hysterical and out burst of emotions from the North Koreans as they had "greatly missed" the Great Leader Kim Il Sung. In the video, people from all walks of life, from the generals to school children had moaned terribly over the loss.



However, I noticed that there were no real tears flowing down from the eyes of the North Koreans. Its just a show to the world on how great they had "missed" him. Perhaps they had ran out of pepper or Eye Mo to simulate flow of tears; IMO, they had been isolated too long and did not learn a trick or so from Hollywood or Bollywood or MediaCorp.







The latest news was the grand son of Kim Il Sung, Kim Jong-un, the next heir apparent of Kim Jong Il in the 3 Generation family political dynasty was "altered" or did a plastic surgery on his face to look more like his grandfather. Only dictatorial country can have a family monopoly the politic of a country.

Most of such countries failed to evolved from its original ideology. For example, the former USSR and China had abandoned it purist form of communism and embraced a market based "communism", but countries such as Cuba and North Korea had clinged dearly to the old school, refusing to evolve.

Passing of MM Lee's wife

Due to the passing of MM Lee's wife, I will take a break till the bereavement period is over.
