I had an interesting finding regarding an Indian IT firm that had won the deal to provide IT support to YOG 2010. The name is the Indian IT firm is Mahindra Satyam. Seem too familair to me. I had heard it some where before......

Using Google, I searched "Mahindra Satyam" and Wikipedia yielded the following result (No wonder China banned it):
Mahindra Satyam (BSE: 500376, NYSE: SAY) (formerly known as Satyam Computer Services Ltd) was founded in 1987 by B Ramalinga Raju. The company offers consulting and information technology (IT) services spanning various sectors, and is listed on the New York Stock Exchange, the National Stock Exchange (India) and Bombay Stock Exchange (India). In June 2009, the company unveiled its new brand identity “Mahindra Satyam” subsequent to its takeover by the Mahindra Group’s IT arm, Tech Mahindra.
The former was linked to the infamous scandal where the company fake its account books to make it look financially healthy!

The BBC and other news paper called it India's Enron. Of course, there are not many worthy local IT companies with the experience to handle such "large scale" event such as the YOG and it had to be outsourced to an Indian IT company. How about locally based MNCs such as IBM or Microsoft? Are they too expensive? Just liked Singaporeans who are not capable in "some" areas and need Foreign Talents to "help" us.

But I hoped it was outsourced correctly and the scores of YOG will be correct and it will not be a scandal....... If not the youths will be very upset!
However, YOG 2010 with a S$300m++ budget had to be well spent and all the extra money had to be spent are worth it and after all its similair to "借花献佛".
Not much effort involved, really!

The following is a very good music video on the WASTE of YOG.
