MM Lee's "Foreign Talent is Vital"

ST had article by MM Lee where he lauded the policy of foreign talents aka foreign workers. However, from alternate online news portal such as The Online Citizen and The Temasek Review (Formerly Wayangparty) had many comments about the speech my MM Lee on the FTs or FWs. Most of them are in the negative lights......

Personally, I believed that foreign immigration policies from Japan cannot be compared to Singapore. Japan is a homogeneous society where Japanese is the working language. Their culture is vastly different from us while ours are consisted of different cultures and religions. What I believed is Singapore policy makers should look into how the issues caused by these immigrants.

For example on 13 Aug 09, the NewPaper had an Article on its front page "So Big, they even have Moustaches". I did not read the articles but will be able to guess what was it all about. (I search the web, but cannot find a copy.... puzzled). The articles must be complaining about the overgrown primary kids competing against out younger kids although they are in same level.

I hoped to get a copy on this soon.

I also think we need to go to the poll to decide on this issue and hoped there are no walk over at my GRC.....
