Aung San Suu Kyi Sentenced to 18 Months House Arrest

Really sad to hear Aung San Suu Kyi Aung San Suu Kyi, Myanmar's last hope for democracy is sentenced to 18 months house arrest for habouring an American who stayed "un-invited" for 2 days in her lakeside "prison"

Myanmar should learn from Singapore "hybrid democracy" where u can: be sued till bankruptcy by ruling party for deframations, disqualified to stand for election if you are fined >$2000, great men such as Nelson Mandala can never stand for Presidential election in Singapore, only give 2 weeks notice for election boundaries etc.

If Myanmar can send their political bigwigs to Singapore for 3 months understudy on how to effectively deal with your political opponents, then the international outcries will be lesser. Ruling Party's tactics had evolved for past 44 years. I suggest part of the understudy is on how Singapore Botanic Garden came into deciding on naming one of our orchid "Dendrobium Thein Sein" after Myanmar's PM Thein Sein.

I wondered how "disappointed" is our Ministry of Foreign Affair and FM Mr George Yeo are..........
